Database Marketing Analyst
Position Summary:
We are looking for a self-motivated professional with knowledge of and keen interest in analytics, marketing, SAS programming, marketing automation, and campaign management to join our Marketing Analytics and Campaign Operations Team. The successful candidate will provide execution support for direct to consumer marketing campaigns and related reporting and analysis. This position will involve frequent and direct interactions with marketing and sales partners and will require qualified candidate to be service-oriented, efficient and able to deliver results within tight timelines.
Essential Functions/Specific Duties:
• Data Mining – Provide insight into Company’s customer base on payoff behavior, retention, and cross sell potential through the use of traditional data mining approaches;
• Marketing Campaign Execution – Execute recurring and adhoc direct marketing list pulls and campaign reports according to specifications and campaign plans provided by marketing managers;
• Marketing Analytics - Provide analysis and reporting on campaign results and recommendations for future criteria improvements directly to marketing managers;
• Data Enhancement - Work with internal and external technical resources to ensure customer database platforms are optimized for marketing needs and contain information elements required for relevant analysis;
• Process Documentation – Maintain documentation for critical data processing procedures;
• Any other job responsibilities requested by management.
Required qualifications:
• College Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields;
• 1 to 3 years of experience or multiple internships in Direct Marketing, preferably in Financial Services industry;
• Understanding principles of Direct Marketing and Marketing Analytics;
• Strong technical skills including
• Experience with SAS or/and SAS Institute certification;
• Experience with modern business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects, Power BI);
• Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle (or similar) relational databases;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook);
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical results to non-technical audiences;
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects;
• Able to work effectively as part of a larger team and contribute to accomplishing group goals.
Conditions of Work:
• Work in office cubicle environment;
• Use of computer and keyboard much or most of each day;
• Overnight travel may be needed, but is not expected to exceed 2 nights per month.
