Description
The Sr. Credit Card Product Manager will be responsible for helping ensure the competitiveness of Wintrust’s commercial and consumer card products and services, driving the execution of identified strategic initiatives forward. This includes responsibility for the growth of the credit card portfolios, which includes management of existing products and new product development, working closely with internal teams and external vendors. The Sr. Credit Card Product Manager is expected to have a thorough understanding of the credit card industry and competitive landscape related to pricing, functionality and the competitive advantages of products managed.
Key Accountabilities:
• Serve as subject matter expert for credit card products, supporting internal sales teams and external customers.
• Manage projects as assigned managing through matrixed resources to deliver results on schedule.
• Provide / recommend / identify new product and revenue opportunities.
• Review existing procedures, processes, and problems and recommend where automation or improvement processes can be implemented.
• Ensure internal compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of directly related work experience within Credit Card industry or with a banking institution
• College degree in area strongly preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills required
• Advanced computer skills
• Ability to resolves complex problems with independent action
