Position Overview
RGA is looking for Executive Director for our Corporate Systems.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end service management, project delivery, and support of multiple global, corporate platforms, including: Human Capital Management / HR systems, Enterprise Imaging systems, and Governance-Risk-Compliance systems.

Responsibilities
• Lead multiple, larger and more complex projects and/or technology initiatives and apply innovative solutions to systems, hardware, software, networking, programming, and/or applications problems.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to team members through performance evaluation and identifying development opportunities; continually developing project team competencies.
• Perform supervisory duties including, but not limited to hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining direct reports.
• Perform strategic planning and maintain alignment, of projects, with both RGA’s strategic direction and application architecture
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships, coordinating service delivery in line with negotiated Service Commitments. Take ownership of the relationship, ensure that business partner’s objectives are met, and gain mutual understanding when the objectives are not feasible
• Manage the business partner’s application portfolio by understanding and communicating needs to internal IT project teams and external vendors.
• Collaborate with business partners to ensure properly defined and communicated project requests. Support business partners in developing business requirements and business cases ensuring IT requests are understood and properly supported by all stakeholders; ensuring the integrity of the RGA IT Project Initiation process.
• Analyze business requirements; evaluate new or existing technology, present recommendations for introduction of new or enhanced systems, networks, hardware, software, or applications.
• Develop and maintain Service Commitments to business partners.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry practices, trends and applications. May perform an advisory role to senior management on potential new business developments and programs.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• 10+ years experience in project management, programming, or systems analysis.
• 5+ years management experience
• Proficient in providing end-to-end management of services of Corporate IT systems and platforms
• Highly advanced project management and systems analysis skills. Demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope, analyzes objectives for feasibility, and gain business understanding.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received by the customer.
• Expert ability to translate business needs and problems into systems’ design and technical solutions.
• Highly advanced people management skills, demonstrating an ability to lead, mentor and develop associates.
• Advanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to lead and mentor support staff.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of broad business and finance related practices.
• Advanced ability to work well within and manage a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and/or sub-teams simultaneously, including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility.
• Proficient in software development and project management methodologies and possesses the ability to disseminate them to the team.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred:
• 11+ years experience in programming/systems analysis I
• Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge
• Application Portfolio management experience
• Master’s degree and/or LOMA certification
