Job Description
SUMMARY: Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, may take dictation, and otherwise relieves officials or associates of clerical work and/or minor administrative and business detail by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
• Assists in a support capacity by following up on work in-progress, issues, inquiries, requests or complaints.
• Composes and types routine correspondence and reads and routes incoming and outgoing mail.
• Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records.
• Processes account transactions, where applicable.
• Performs assignments with established directives involving knowledge and application of policies and procedures.
• May answer and screen associate and/or manager's telephone calls, and arranges conference calls, if applicable.
• May coordinate manager's schedule and makes appointments.
• Conducts research, compiles, stores and retrieves data for the preparation of reports and may type statistical reports.
• May coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare meeting facilities, and records and transcribe minutes of meetings.
• Contributes to the team effort in order to accomplish related results, as needed.
• May arrange and coordinate travel plans and itineraries, and accompany supervisor when requested.
• Performs duties and responsibilities involving knowledge and application of policies and procedures that require independent judgment in the determination of actions to be taken.
• May require the analysis of facts and circumstances to conclude and make recommendations for solving administrative problems within the limits or accepted practice.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and minimum of two years of related experience.
