The Technology Solutions team provides Business Intelligence and Data Management services in support of client Corporate Real Estate organizations.
The Junior Associate, Tech Solutions role requires active engagement in consulting practices, research, and development of leading solutions for internal and external customers. The incumbent will liaison with Architecture, Information Security, Infrastructure and Database Administrators to understand the dependences and policies for data movement across the organization.
Essential Functions:
BI Solutions Development and Testing:
• Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of off-the-shelf and custom software applications in JLL staging as well as customer test and production environments.
• Customize and enhance business software applications including GUI development/customization, report development, script development. Contribute to the complete software development life cycle: defining, designing, building, testing, and deploying.
• Assist with unit testing and quality assurance of the solution build at the various stages. Identify gaps and improvements in the proposed design and partner with Solution Consultants and Project Managers to reevaluate the design and project plan.
Customer Support:
• Analyze customer’s challenges and take a primary role in the design, development and implementation of comprehensive solutions that integrate smoothly into customer environments.
• Troubleshoot first and intermediate level support tickets. Identify gaps and improvements in the proposed design and partner with Solution Consultants and Project Managers to reevaluate the design and project plan.
Database and Report Development:
• Perform data management tasks and data structure modification, as well as development of data migration interfaces to integrate disparate applications/databases.
• Perform data mapping, data manipulation and data migration among various database systems and enterprise applications.
• Develop BI solutions using Tableau, Power BI, QLIK, or other platforms. Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Access or other reporting tools.
Education, Certifications and Experience:
• Required Undergraduate degree or comparable work experience in relevant domain.2 – 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferred 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Relevant technical and/or IWMS certifications.
• Tableau certification (server or desktop).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Required Working knowledge of relational database systems, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
• Solid understanding of development and programming best practices. Experience with various web API's.
• Implementation and deployment experience with enterprise software.
• Ability to translate standard requirements into technical tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to convey thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience with Crystal Reports, Business Objects or similar reporting software. Experience working with Tableau (desktop and server), QLIK, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Working experience with multiple programming languages such as Fusion, ASP, ASP.NET, JAVA, AXVW, JavaScript, XML, HTMLx, PL/T-SQL, etc.
• Ability to adhere to project schedules, project constraints and the prioritization of project tasks.
• Preferred Implementation, deployment or working experience with ARCHIBUS, IBM TRIRIGA, Manhattan or other Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS).
• Experience with both the Oracle and the MSSQL platforms: proficiency in administering, designing, building, and troubleshooting queries, procedures, and functions.
• Experience in development of dashboards in Tableau.
• Understanding application security and server configuration.
• Experience working with ETL processes & systems, and data management practices. Working knowledge of data modeling and governance practices.
