Description
As a Relationship Banker-Small Business Specialist within Santander’s Consumer and Business Banking division you will assume a lead role in developing and maintaining consumer and business customer relationships with Santander Bank. By utilizing a needs based and consultative approach you will assist both consumer and business customers in identifying their short and long term financial needs and act as a referral source to Santander Investment Services Financial Consultant.
Responsibilities
• Engage and attend weekly partnership meetings and joint calls with branch partners
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure sales and referral expectations are consistently met
• Responsible for growing the profitability, deepening relationships and retention within existing customer base through outbound calling activities, networking and in-person appointments
• Source new customers through prospecting by making outbound phone calls, referrals from centers-of-influence, in-Branch activities as well as partners
• Acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing customers utilizing the Explore process
• Identify and recommend appropriate product and service solutions to meet all banking and borrowing needs of prospects and customers
• Identify opportunities to introduce customers to business partners when appropriate
• Responsible for small business activities including identifying new opportunities with prospects and existing business customers to introduce customers to business partners when appropriate
• Responsible for small business activities including identifying new opportunities with prospects and existing business customers, submitting small business credit applications up to $100,000 and cross selling to existing business and consumer customers
Qualifications
• At least minimum of 1 year experience selling products and/or services in an incentive based environment
• A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
• A minimum of 1 year experience selling products and/or services in an incentive based environment
• A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
• Series 6, 63, and Life and Health
• You will be responsible for growing the profitability, relationship depth, and retention of branch customers through telephone outreach and in-person interactions, as well as by introducing customers to partners within Santander
• In compliance with the requirements outlined within the Compensation Requirements under the Truth-in-Lending Act (LO Comp Rule) effective January 1st 2014; Santander Bank will now perform a credit check as part of, and in addition to, the existing background check for all positions where one must perform job functions of a loan originator as defined by the LO Comp Rule
