POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible and accountable for driving the strategic marketing plan, development and overseeing execution for all IAS marketing acquisition efforts designed to drive net new advisory relationships from key prospective IAS clients to the Individual Advisory Services channel. The role will have responsibility and accountability for driving approximately $900M in net new assets under management to the advisory channel annually. This leader will be accountable and responsible for developing data-driven integrated marketing strategies that align with our Individual Advisory Service (IAS) business objectives – and leverage a wide range of media channels such as Direct Mail, Email, Paid Search, Paid Social, Paid Display, Outbound Efforts, etc to drive profitable and effective return on marketing dollar. This includes responsibility and accountability for targeting/sub-segmentation, initiating research needed to improve marketing efforts, developing differentiated messaging and offer strategies to meet the marketing goals.
This position will lead, influence, and partner with the broader IAS Marketing team, IAS Line of Business partners, Data & Analytics, marketing centers-of-excellence, and team members across Institutional Financial Services and Retail Financial Services marketing to ensure appropriate integration and synergies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Responsible and accountable for strategic planning, strategy development, overseeing campaign deployment, measurement and optimization of all marketing activity associated with driving new business to the business channel.
• Partner effectively with Insights & Analytics team utilizing first, second and third party data to contribute to the development of your annual marketing plan.
• Partner effectively with key IAS LOB areas such as practice management and Advisory Coaches to gain key business input/approvals on strategic direction
• Close partnership/influencing required with the broader IAS Marketing team, IAS Line of Business partners, Inbound and Outbound Phone teams, Customer Insights, Digital, Brand, marketing centers-of-excellence, and team members across Institutional Financial Services and Retail Financial Services marketing
• Oversee project management/execution of all campaign strategies to ensure projects are on-strategy, on-time and on-budget. Responsible for approving and justifying deviations to plans/budgets when needed.
• Responsible for projecting business impact based on historical results and partnership with IAS LOB and Data & Analytics. In addition, is responsible for adjusting the forecast throughout the year based on any changes in direction as well as recent program results
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• 10+ years’ experience in acquisition financial marketing or applicable business equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
• Above experience includes marketing generalist whose skills include a deep understanding of marketing strategy development and planning as well as audience segmentation, developing unique value proposition, client experience, reporting and tracking.
Desired Qualifications:
• Significant experience with digital channels, including social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong time management skills.
• Experience marketing to the a wealthy consumer audience as well as agency experience highly preferred
• Extremely adept in problem-solving and navigating challenging situations in a thoughtful and creative manner
• Experienced in leading and managing large cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment
