Responsible for working with the business to develop the strategic vision, product planning and product roadmap, and managing user acceptance.. Supports the projects team execution of the vision through the SDLC. The Product Manager is expected to work with customers to develop and prioritize high level product requirements, define the product vision and partner with the business analysts to ensure customer satisfaction and goals are met. The Product Manager family would be the next career path for a Business Analyst or Project Manager.
Essential Functions
• Subject Matter Expert in the Product(s ) supported
• Review and approve for ITSC all Business Impact Statements
• Approve project scope and change requests
• Mediate with IT and business project issues and risks where applicable
• Partner with release management to develop and approve release scope
• Develop define maintain and communicate he product strategy and roadmap
• Measures and communicates the progress of a project to the client and Sr. Management
• Prioritize goals and objectives developed in Product Strategy
• ROI management
• Competitive Analysis – the Product Manager must cultivate knowledge about competitor products (including usage of any features in a competitive product) to help to determine/suggest changes that may help First American gain a competitive edge in our technologies.
• Measure Customer Delight – define and measure the success of changes made to the Product. Create appropriate action plans to address when success measures are not met
• Measure Adoption – define and measure the user community adoption of product enhancements. Measurements must include efficient usability of the change. Create appropriate action plans to address when adoption success measures are not met
• May be required to work with Marketing to help develop a Marketing Campaign for the launch of a Product.
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in order to define business and technical parameters and lead team to meet business requirements.

• Standard MS skill set.
Typical Education
• Generally requires BS Degree or equivalent work experience
• Masters degree desirable
Typical Range of Experience
• Typically has 4-8 years of directly related experience with an excellent customer understanding.
