Job Description

As a member of the PULSE Business Intelligence team, this BI/Analytics Consultant position will provide analytical and reporting support and solutions to the PULSE Product and Pricing teams.
Responsibilities include analyzing large amounts of account and transactional data to develop and improve processes, models as well as analytic and data warehousing capabilities. The candidate will be expected to design analytic approaches, extract and manipulate information from internal/external data sources, complete all aspects of development, and present results in a systematic/strategic manner.
*This role is located in Houston, TX.
Job Responsibilities:
• Expand & enhance data and analytic capabilities, continue to improve processes, explore/adopt new tools, drive automation and scripting
• Use data to generate insights and provide recommendations on Product and Pricing strategies
• Evaluate, maintain and improve pricing model performance and model governance
• Increase influence on decision making, actively participate in and lead strategy development, keep track of analytics impact, ensure good understanding on how analytics output is used
• Collaborate with various business partners on project requests, prioritization and delivery
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes #LI-BP1
Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree in fields related to Statistics/Math/Computer Science/Economics is preferred)
• 5 years of Analytics or related experience
• 3 years of experience with Teradata, SQL, and SAS (Work with Unix, Cognos, and Tableau is strongly preferred)
• Provide methodological leadership in analysis, modeling & data warehousing optimization
• Excellent project management, communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment
• Experience in leading cross-functional projects
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint in particular)
