The Technology Team supports the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all banking systems. This team has the expertise and commitment to develop high-quality solutions to meet the needs of a fast-paced and complex operating environment.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinates project and other activities with team resources
• Work with various teams in order to successfully complete projects
• Maintains team workflows by studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures
• Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices; evaluating personnel and technological requirements; implementing changes.
• Develops team by providing information, educational opportunities, and coaching
• Assist in the definition and implementation of application support standards
• Resolves problems by analyzing information; identifying and communication solutions
• Maintains rapport with customers, managers, and employees by arranging continuing contacts; researching and developing new services and methods; setting priorities; resolving problem situations.
• Maintains suggestion system by directing and controlling administrative technical aspects in accordance with management directives
• Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management; discovering irregularities; determining continuing needs
• Guides team actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating administrative policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating developments to management
• Experience with projects and applications that use SQL, Oracle, IIS, Apache, and WebSphere products
• Experience with Windows/ Unix/ Linux System projects and applications
• Manage, monitor and maintain Application Systems environments
• Effectively install, configure, document, and upgrade application server software and related products
• Implement patches and implement corrective actions needed to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
• Implement IT policies, procedures, and system controls
• Identify any IT related deficiencies based on scan or other IT assessment test or techniques, as part of a gap analysis
• Ability to move and perform in a multicultural large organization
• Handle assigned work requests according to designated goals and objective
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative
• College degree preferred
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Experience in supporting a multi-server application system with at least 4 years of experience working on Window and Linux based applications
• Technical knowledge Oracle/ SQL
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must understand Project methodology and SDLC
• Understand and experience with ITIL and COBIT methodologies
• Must be flexible with work scheduling to meet demands of daily requests
• Experience supporting a financial environment is a plus
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
