General Summary
This role provides seamless client service and quality work product to support a book of business containing large complex accounts, with specific focus in the Healthcare industry. This role is responsible for supporting the Advisory Specialist, Associate Advisory Specialist, Associate Client Executive and/or Client Executive on all aspects of client advisory service and transactions as respects workers’ compensation, commercial auto, medical professional liability, general liability and umbrella/excess professional liability.
Essential Functions
• Builds and maintains ongoing relationship with clients and team colleagues to provide timely and proactive customer service, effectively service clients and market contacts, and assist the Advisory colleagues.
• Responds to day-to-day client inquiries.
• Possesses a good knowledge of the client’s operations and insurance programs.
• Reviews documents to ensure that communication and process flow between clients, Marsh, and carriers is timely and consistent from submission to policy issuance.
• Attends internal strategy meetings to gain a deeper understanding of the work the Company does to better assist Advisory colleagues.
• Assists in the creation of presentations and program submissions, including coverage specifications and consolidation of exposure and loss information, in collaboration with Advisory colleagues.
• Participates in client and underwriting meetings, as appropriate.
• Responsible for gathering of all client renewal information, creation of renewal documents, carrier confirmations, review and follow up regarding submissions, endorsements, declinations, policy issuance, extensions and cancellations and escalating concerns to direct manager or Client Team, as appropriate.
• Assists in preparing proposal components including the analysis of: pricing, coverage terms and conditions, services, quote comparisons, financing, commentary and recommendations.
• Responsible for execution of client’s binding instructions including delivery of CBI, binder, Binder Transmittal Letter via MART, and policy delivery.
• Requests follow-up for changes from underwriters to ensure coverage is correct, including processing mid-term policy adjustments, reviewing endorsements for accuracy and transmitting to client.
• Accountable for coordination of all administrative tasks with our Centralized Support Systems (CSS) teams.
• Stays current, understands and complies with all Marsh compliance, professional and transparency standards.
• Provides feedback for any improvement to forms, process or workflow system for greater efficiency.
Qualifications
• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in commercial lines.
• Holds appropriate broker’s license(s), as a minimum.
• Proactive, Detail and Results-oriented with a strong client service focus.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
• Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills with proficiency in email, word processing and spreadsheet software, as well as working knowledge of presentation software.
