Overview
We rely on our information security team to keep our information safe. We are adding a Director of Information Security to lead and direct the operations of the enterprise's Information security teams. In this role, you will engage with IT’s Application, Infrastructure and Data Management teams by advising on emerging vulnerabilities and newly introduced risks to enterprise systems.
You have the exciting opportunity to take a proactive approach in continually assessing the security of those systems throughout their lifecycle, providing recommendations for enhancing security and adapting to new threats and vulnerabilities. Expand and support an enterprise Identity and Access Management program while also implementing and leveraging threat intelligence programs to proactively address these threats.
What You'll Do
As the Director of Information Security, you will develop and implement a security operations center, consisting of people, process, and technology that come together to actively monitor Sentry’s information processing systems and data for signs of cyber breach. Additionally, you will:
• Identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with the corporate strategic plan and works with leadership to prioritize security initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology.
• Lead the Identity and Access Management team including expanding the role of IAM throughout the organization to enable consistent implementation of controls and process as it relates to access management.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure continued execution of the vulnerability management program in accordance to the agreed upon service level agreements. Provide regular updates to the CSO and CIO in scorecard format that allows senior leadership to continuously be aware of where our control weaknesses exist.
• Lead the Cyber Security Incident Response Services team including developing and enhancing the organizations’ threat hunting and threat intelligence programs.
• Oversee the implementation and management of a security operations center, providing coverage and off-hours support.
• Assist IT in implementing and leveraging information security policies and standards that are developed by Security Architecture and governed by the GRC team.
• Oversee the implementation of information security strategy and associated architecture and engineering standards through management of security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures ensuring on-going maintenance of security systems. Regularly performs information security risk assessments to ensure the focus is appropriate to established priorities.
What it Takes
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8-10 years of related work experience.
• CISSP or other relevant Information Security designation preferred
• Possess and demonstrates senior level experience in Information Security technical controls, information security threat analysis, understanding technology in general, and driving initiatives through completion.
• Demonstrated experience in navigating a corporation’s political environment.
• Proven experience influencing and clearly communicating security requirements and risk
• Demonstrated management, communication, human relation, organizational, and analytical skills as well as demonstrated information security leadership experience in a medium-to-large organization.
• Demonstrates strong intellect and is able to appropriately articulate and persuasively lead teams. Serves as an effective member of the management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
• Prior experience with application/software development preferred. Possess expert knowledge of mainframe, client/server, and network security systems.
• Demonstrated experience planning, developing and implementing large projects.
