Job Description
AVP, Benefits Specialist
The Benefits Specialist, AVP, oversees various Health and Welfare, as well as Employee Recognition programs, through plan and vendor management. Assists Disability and Accommodations Lead with various aspects of the Leave of Absence program, including administrative functions and overall plan management. Responsible for administration of Flexible Work Arrangement and oversight of the program SharePoint form. Supports ad hoc projects relating to all benefit programs and initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop employee programs around Recognition, Service Awards, Employee Activities, Flexible Work Arrangements, etc.
• Oversee day-to-day activities for fully-insured health plans, including Canada, Flexible Spending Accounts, Commuter..
• Assist with various aspects of Leave of Absence administration, including Short-term Disability, FMLA, Workers Compensation and accommodations.
• Participates in ad hoc analytical and administrative projects, as assigned.
• Work closely with Benefits Director, Canadian branch and Canadian health vendor to manage international health program.
• Oversee relationship with vendors, specifically for employee recognition and fully-insured health plans.
• Act as subject matter expert for employee programs, including budget, program oversight, and liaison to managers and employees.
• Work with team to review and manage processes that pertain to specific benefit programs.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, HR or relevant business background from an accredited university.
• 5 years experience working on benefit plans, including fully-insured Health Plans and Leave of Absence.
• 3 years experience managing multiple projects and/or working with outside vendors to manage programs.
• 3 years experience leading analytical projects and initiatives.
