Prudential’s Actuarial COE Operations team is seeking a highly collaborative, enthusiastic and customer-focused Project Manager to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual who is intellectually curious, operates well in ambiguity and adaptive to change. The Project Manager will independently manage all phases of the project management life cycle for multiple, concurrent, projects across an Actuarial organization, while working closely with our technology organization (ESS), leveraging an appropriate traditional or agile approach to drive outcomes and foster new ideas.
As part of this role, you will have an exciting opportunity to work alongside other project managers and colleagues across Actuarial, to focus on:
• Independently managing large, cross-functional, projects across all phases of the project management life cycle and / or model development life cycle (MDLC) ensuring results are of the highest quality
• Overseeing the planning and coaching of multiple projects across the organization using Waterfall or Agile delivery methods.
• Developing comprehensive project schedules, and ensuring tracking mechanisms are in place for all work, task and project assignments.
• Working collaboratively with partners within Actuarial, across other business units (e.g. ESS, Finance, Risk, etc.) as needed, while identifying inefficiencies in project execution and collaborating with project team to establish and implement process improvements.
• Understanding business benefit impact and managing stakeholder expectations, while proactively keeping the stakeholders informed about project statuses and issues that may impact progress
Qualifications
• Minimum of five years of relevant project management experience and / or business-related experience.
• Highly developed organizational skills to manage multiple priorities; detailed knowledge and background with Project Management methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Project, Visio and SharePoint
• Experience working successfully with co-located and virtual team(s), as well as in partnering with vendors.
• Applicable Project Management / Agile Certifications (PMP, SAFe, CSM, etc.) a plus.
• Experience working with/in an actuarial organization is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field is required
