Profile Summary
Oversees a financial analysis and planning team for Retirement Services Defined Contribution markets. To be successful in the role the candidate will provide thorough and timely analysis, provide detailed management reporting, and build robust forecasting & analysis tools. Scope includes Retirement DC segments.
Profile Responsibilities
• Build out the Retirement DC financial analysis and planning team based in Windsor and transition responsibilities from teams in other locations
• Oversee GAAP and statutory internal management reporting to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial information
• Provide insightful analytics on financial results and drivers to management on a quarterly, monthly and annual basis
• Develop robust forecasting & analysis tools
◦ Work with business to address data issue and improve financial analysis infrastructure
• Work with market Presidents to develop and implement the long term business strategy
• Partner with market Presidents to develop and implement the financial plan
• Partner with Management to perform financial analysis to support product, distribution, and growth strategies
• Partner with Pricing and Valuation teams to determine financial impacts of pricing decisions
• Develop appropriate financial benchmarks using insights gained from market data
• Develop financial models for strategic initiatives and track actual results vs. goals
• Manage the quarterly rolling forecast process, including:
◦ Asset and revenue model driver coordination
◦ Expense driver forecasts
◦ Scenario based financial sensitivities
◦ Identify key drivers and communicate results with Management to support business decisions
Knowledge & Experience
• Minimum of 8 years accounting, analysis, reporting or actuarial experience
• Deep understanding of Retirement Defined Contribution business practices and economics
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial, accounting or equivalent business experience
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written;
• Proficient in financial modeling
• Professional designation such as CPA, ASA, FSA, CGA or FLMI a plus
• Coaching and supervisory experience required
