Jackson National Life Distributors LLC (JNLD) has an opening for a AVP, Sales Support, RIA/Trust
Job Purpose
The AVP, Sales Support will serve as an internal sales enablement role to assist in developing and implementing a distribution strategy for the RIA, private bank, bank trust, and community trust channels to develop and grow relationships with institutions and position Jackson annuity options within the private wealth and trust space. The AVP, Sales Support will assist the external sales team in raising assets through prospect research, meeting preparation and follow-up. This individual will play an integral role in managing communication amongst the group and managing new projects and initiatives; involving strong interaction with product development and strategy, marketing and communications, advanced markets, operations, and third-party vendors.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Works closely with the external sales team and internal resources to conduct research and analysis to help develop and execute an appropriate business plan to maximize sales.
• Conducts prospect research and analysis.
• Utilizes databases to create and maintain prospect profiles and activity.
• Drafts concise and persuasive communications to institutional clients and prospects, including meeting/conference follow-ups and email campaigns.
• Drafts briefing memos in advance of prospect meetings as well as meeting summaries when appropriate.
• Organizes and occasionally leads prospecting and follow-up meetings using web-based and virtual meeting technologies.
• Responds to prospect queries via coordination with appropriate internal departments.
• Organizes client due diligence and onboarding processes, and serves as sales operations subject-matter expert for new and prospective client relationships.
• Facilitates communications amongst the team on project updates and developments.
• Maintains and updates team business plan.
• Initiates relationships and maintains vendor oversight with trust accounting platform providers and data intermediary organizations for successful transmission of client data.
• Oversees development of marketing materials from idea generation to completion.
• Serves as escalation point for operational, legal, compliance or service concerns on behalf of RIA/Trust & Private Wealth.
• Collaborates and communicates with key internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Travels for prospect/client meetings and conference attendance as required.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong familiarity with broker dealer, RIA and high net worth distribution channels.
• Knowledge of advanced planning strategies and concepts, and financial markets.
• Ability to build and navigate third-party vendor relationships, with familiarity of order entry, accounting, performance management and billing platforms
• Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proven track record in sales, business development and account management.
• Excellent listening and probing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Highly proficient with software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree or designation (CFP, CTFA, CFA) preferred.
• 5 - 8 years prior insurance or investment sales and/or sales operations experience required.
• Experience leading a team or function preferred.
• FINRA series 6 or 7 required, ability to obtain additional securities or insurance licenses may be required within 30 days of hire.
