ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monthly payment and disbursement of PMI premiums due.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly reviews of all loans to ensure correct system data.
• Perform monthly reconciliation reviews of all payments processed in the portfolio.
• Review all loans at the time of boarding to validate that MSP information is correct.
• Create and Process exception reports to ensure that payments are being made timely.
• Review of monthly PMI Termination Reports to ensure that PMI is removed on all qualifying loans in accordance with established guidelines.
• Process all requests from borrowers to have PMI terminated, by reviewing payment histories, age of loan and loan to value. Ability to read and comprehend appraisals as necessary.
• Review loan documents for validation of PMI coverage, termination date and other key date elements.
• Process reinstatements of PMI per established guidelines.
• Loan level review and completion of all open tasks as it relates to PMI.
• Must be familiar with each investor guidelines and processing systems.
• Determine if PMI has been removed prematurely and take the necessary corrective steps.
• Handle any customer complaints related to PMI via email and /or written correspondence. Document all findings in the system of record.
• Update and maintain PMI rescissions/cancellations documents and work with internal and external clients to mitigate any risk involved.
• Validate all PMI data in the system of record on incoming and outgoing servicing transfers.
• Process all incoming mail related to PMI.
• Weekly processing of validation reports to ensure that all PMI lines are set up correctly in the system of record to include the review of closing documents.
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree Preferred
• 3 to 5 years of experience in mortgage loan servicing (insurance company, escrow department, accounts payable, accounting clerk or similar role may be acceptable) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently, successfully prioritize multiple functions and meet deadlines.
• Capable problem solver with an analytical mind set and excellent organizational skills.
• Possess good written and verbal communication skills. Positive attitude and a customer first focus.
• Data entry and 10 key calculator skills required.
• Practical and functional computer knowledge to include Excel, Word, Email and internet research.
• Open and receptive to change and must have the ability to operate in a fast paced environment.
