Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Acts as a liaison or subject matter expert working with Territory offices and State offices to proactively assess and advise the needs in the field; serves as a consultant, project leader, or team member for projects that focus on the coordination, execution, and implementation of programs for the field force
2.Collaborates with the Territory Director to make recommendations for improvements that will impact performance issues, have measurable benefits, and aligns the overall strategic mission of the Field Force with the company’s business and growth strategies
3.Analyzes and tracks the effectiveness of existing programs; communicates directly with the Territory office and State office to understand survey data and needs of the Territory; provides leadership with recommendations for changes based on findings of analysis
4.Analyzes data from SOSA reporting to compile statistics, form conclusions, and make recommendations to Aflac Sales Academy leadership for issues such as but not limited to new and career associate effectiveness and District Sales Coordinators (DSC’s) management effectiveness; translates data and insight on state office performance into tangible recommendations that will improve recruiting, production, and management performance
5.Develops short- term and long-term strategies to improve field force capabilities and to address performance issues
6.Researches external best practices and stays abreast of trends in sales methodology and training; maintains internal and external contacts to develop and maintain a pool of resources for field force development
7.Coordinates and assists in programs and events as necessary
8.Establishes and maintains relationships with the Territory Director, Regional Sales Coordinators (RSC’s), and State Sales Coordinators (SSC’s) in order to manage expectations and to understand management objectives and sales strategies; collaborates with Field Certifiers to understand the capabilities of State Training Coordinators (STC’s) and identify needs
9.Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business administration or related field and five to seven years of job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Field Force experience (required)
Experience in insurance sales and sales training (preferred)
Job Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of effective training delivery concepts, principles, and methods
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong project management, leadership, and practice development skills
Strong personal computer skills with experience in Windows-based software; experience using Microsoft Outlook or a similar e-mail system
Broad knowledge of Aflac products and systems
