Business Systems Analyst
I. JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for working with multiple stakeholders within the business to develop, document and implement process and technology changes. Interacting with a variety of stakeholders and departments, this position will have responsibility for understanding and facilitating the investigation of existing practices and workflows, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring that stakeholders requirements are satisfied through the implementation of the final solution.
II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document requirements
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and business users with a focus on improving existing processes and providing quantifiable value to the business
• Conduct user interviews, perform data and systems analysis capturing business and functional requirements in a concise and unambiguous form
• Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into actual business needs and underlying users’ requirements
• Identify and recommend changes in process, workflow, and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy of business practices
• Produce clear, comprehensive, and high quality business and data analysis
• Research, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical information to support diagnosis and redesign
• Build test plans creating traceability to documented requirements ensuring successful testing and facilitating issue resolution
• Coordinate and prioritize multiple project/analysis activities from development to production implementation, including collaboration on topics that cover multiple lines of business.
• Manage and execute required communications between all stakeholders
• Perform other related duties as assigned
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years Business Systems Analyst experience
• 3+ years’ experience in Mortgage, Banking, or Loan Servicing preferred
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent requirement and process documentation skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio
• Prefer experience with multiple SDLC Methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)
• Working knowledge of project management/change management procedures
• Ability to perform in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
