Position Description

The Reconciliation Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the successful and accurate completion of daily reconciliations.
The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:
› Supervise preparation of daily position and transaction reconciliations between SEI’s portfolio accounting system, Advent Geneva, and the portfolio’s prime broker or custodian
› Oversee the daily functions and professional development of the Portfolio Accountants
› Coordinate opening (or closing) of new (or terminated) accounts
› Ensure analysts are strictly adhering to established departmental processing procedures and controls
› Communicate workflow information/issues to manager for ultimate communication to our investment manager clients
› Assist with special projects or other team members’ daily work, as necessary
› Understand, practice and enforce department policies and procedures
› Write and discuss employees’ performance appraisals
› Perform necessary functions for new business conversions
› Contribute to the idea generation process regarding new processes, controls and technologies
› Assist in rolling out and enforcing new technologies and departmental policies
› Assume a leadership role in meeting departmental goals
› Ensure a high level of client service
› Respond to requests made by external and internal auditors
› Identify potential problems and formulate possible solutions to them
› Collaborate with peers and managers to resolve issues
Position Requirements
› B.S./B.A. in accounting, finance, business management, math, economics or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
› 2 years experience in financial services, investment industry
› Strong dedication to quality customer service
› Excellent verbal and written communication skills
› Excellent interpersonal skills/team player
› Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
› Ability to handle multiple tasks
› Ability to work under pressure to meet daily deadlines
› Excellent organizational and advanced problem solving skills
› Knowledge of Microsoft Office and including Word, Excel and Outlook
› Ability to work in an environment in which processes and procedures are actively evolving
› Ability to perform in a fast –paced environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines
› Some supervisory experience a plus
› Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
