Overview

Responsibilities
• Provide corporate tax, individual income tax, and pass-through entity compliance and advisory services to a variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, private companies, and owner-managed businesses
• Work as a part of a multi-discplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience; industries may include but are not limited to financial services, insurance, manufacturing, retail, real estate, non-profit and construction
• Conduct tax research
• Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge/research to a specific client's situations
• Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice, including analyzing business processes and identifying ways to automate processes and/or implement improved processes
• Actively participate in coaching and mentoring our team of associates
• When appropriate, leading your own client team and being primary client relationship contact
• Actively leads team in variety of administrative aspects of running the practice, including but not limited to budgeting, scheduling and recruiting
• Candidates should be growth-motivated with the objectives to grow his/her practice with compliance and consulting services. This would include actively seeking out and participating in networking activities
• Excellently communicate to staff and clientele alike

Qualifications
• At least 4 - 8 years of experience in tax accounting required
• Previous experience with a Big Four, National, or Regional CPA firm preferred
• CPA certification required
• Tax return review experience required
• Occasional travel to client sites required
• BS in Accounting (or equivalent education) required
• Strong skills in one or more areas including: Corporate compliance, pass-through entity compliance, estate, trust, and gift tax compliance, and/or individual income tax compliance required
• Multi-state taxation (apportionment, nexus, and/or controversy resolution) and ASC 740 (FIN 48 and FAS 109) experience highly preferred
• Strong skills in tax research required
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• Master's in Taxation preferred
