Summary:
The Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Profitability Sr. Systems Analyst will be part of a development team implementing profitability solution using OFSAA for the MUFG-Union Banks.
Key responsibilities of the systems analyst include the following:
• Liaise with business users to understand FTP and profitability requirements and implement requirements in OFSAA Profitability solution.
• Configuration of FTP and Profitability rules in OFSAA.
• Write T2Ts to transform data. Develop procedure using PL/SQL. Understand business requirements and implement technical solution within OFSAA in an efficient way. Test OFSAA configurations and fix defects as appropriate.
• Understand complex SQL queries, analyze data related issues and identify root cause of issues / defects. Develop and implement performance optimal system.
• Maintain the end-to-end OFSAA batch and provide technical support.
• Document system process flows and write test scripts for system testing.
• Work with business users to address functional issues.
Major Responsibilities:
• Configuration of FTP and Profitability rules in OFSAA.
• Troubleshoot technical issues by analyzing OFSAA log files and fixing the issues. Analyze data related issues and identify root cause of issues / defects.
• Develop rules for cost and revenue allocations in OFSAA including configuring FTP rules and writing T2Ts to transform data. Develop ad hoc procedures using PL/SQL.
• Testing in support of projects and creation of project artifacts as required by project life cycle.
• Production support of OFSAA, this includes batch runs and minor development requests to fix defects as required.
• Support projects per PLC procedure – Perform analysis based on business requirement, design, develop, test and implement changes to Oracle Application and related interfaces.
• Document all changes per ISA standard.
• Work with end user areas to understand MIS requirements for profitability reporting and document those requirements in accordance with project templates including process flows, test plans, business requirements documents and design documents.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 5 - 8 years of IT experience, 2-3 years of experience in process engineering and 2 years’ experience in project management.
• 7+ years of experience as a business analyst in the implementation of profitability, fund transfer pricing and GL reconciliation solutions for large banks.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing OFSAA v6.1 or higher Profitability, FTP and GL Reconciliation modules.
• Sound understanding of key processing dimensions, hierarchies and attributes within OFSAA Profitability solution.
• Sound understanding of different cost and revenue allocation methodologies as it applies to profitability calculations.
• Good knowledge of the end-to-end data flow and profitability calculations within OFSAA profitability solution.
• Working knowledge of writing SQL queries and troubleshoot data related issues.
• Working knowledge of profitability reporting using BI tools like Oracle OBIEE, Hyperion Essbase would be a big plus.
• Flexible in managing competing priorities and objectives.
• Ability to work independently as needed.
• Strong team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
