Position Description
SEI (NASDAQ:SEIC) is a leading global provider of investment processing, investment management, and investment operations solutions that help corporations, financial institutions, financial advisors, and ultra-high-net-worth families create and manage wealth.
The Investment Manager Services Unit has an opportunity available for an Operations Analyst within the Centralized Operations Team; a team which provides technical and functional support to accounting users.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Resolving daily exceptions that arise from automated trade file processes
Performing pricing functions for securities across portfolio positions
Security master setups and asset data maintenance
Assisting in the implementation of new clients
Participating in the testing of new releases/system enhance
Researching and processing corporate actions and dividend income for IMS clients
Business Hours:
Business hours are generally 12:00pm to 9:00pm, but may require extended support timeframes when necessary.
Position Requirements
BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Mathematics or Economics or 1 year equivalent experience preferred
Internship or one year professional experience preferred
Knowledge of the fund services industry
Programming experience preferred
Willingness to learn new systems, concepts and broaden knowledge in the industry
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Advent Geneva or Sungard InvestOne experience preferred
Must be willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team, in an open floor environment
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Team player
Willing to take complete responsibility to timeliness and accuracy
Flexible and adaptable to a high-growth, fast paced work environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word for Windows
Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
