This is a consultant position with consideration to hire.
Position is based at our HQ, 8750 W. Bryn Mawr in Chicago, a short walk from the O’Hare Blue Line at Cumberland and the Kennedy.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for key corporate projects. Provides the thought leadership and best practices to move the organization to project management best practices and to embrace a project management culture. Leader in strategic initiatives, and project teams that cross lines of business and have company-wide significance.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops project plans, including ROI, cost/benefit analysis, strategic roadmaps for various plans/ideas/products/services to senior management in order to gain approval to move forward with the creation of cross-divisional project teams.
• Understands roles and responsibilities in the change management process, and ensures that performance management is linked into the process.
• Manages the performance of projects as they progress in accordance with defined timelines and budgets.
• Drives end to end implementation of projects across applicable disciplines (Program Management, Process Improvement, and Change Management)
• Integration of the Project Management Office, Lean, Six Sigma, and Change Management ensuring seamless service delivery from strategy formulation to execution
• Resolves high level conflicts by influencing decisions, or negotiating with affected management.
• Develops and maintains reporting and communication on the status of corporate projects to stakeholders and the organization.
• Provides direction and facilitates education of the discipline of project management in the organization to ensure a uniform approach to project management.
• Organizes and provides structure and discipline for acquisition projects for determination of dates from the host provider for conversion, and facilitation of kickoff meetings to begin the project once defined.
• Provides consultation within the enterprise for assistance to staff on smaller projects and processes as requested.
• Record keeping of past projects including critical data, centralized access and organization of electronic shares, and general archiving of data to document processes and results.
• Provides coordination of system acquisition through the vendor evaluation process utilizing RFPs and RFIs leading towards an organized decision.
• Provides education and training, as well as guidance, for new project managers.

Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• At least ten years Project Management experience, including managerial, and operational experience
• Excellent financial analysis skills
• Six Sigma and LEAN skills are required
• Expertise with implementing business process mapping and process improvement techniques
• Expertise coordinating multiple large and complex projects
• Banking or financial industry experience a plus but not required
• Expertise with initiating large, complex projects, project management methodology, Waterfall and Agile required
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Master’s degree desired
