Position Description Overview
Ownership of Risk Management for national accounts portfolio, consisting of aproximately $12 billion dollars in annual check activity as well as manages annual warranty expense of $ 91 million dollars. Wide range of contacts for this position, from Analysts to CFO/CEO positions. Contacts are both internal (including Vice Presidents to Executive Committee) and external (including merchant relationships). This includes presenting annual reviews, developing appropriate metrics, conducting custom analysis and managing any issues with merchant satisfaction with risk systems. Accurately forecast and manage the warranty & collection exposure for various product lines and key national merchants. This includes working with the Finance group to establish yearly warranty plans, monthly forecasts and end of month P/L accrual numbers that impact bottom line. Develop and delivers presentations to Sales, Service and other internal department to educate staff about transaction practices, Risk Management’s role and related product offerings. Work in partnership with Product Development and related business partners to scope, develop and launch new products. Support overall business by performing custom analysis in response to business trends. Includes making business recommendation that impact the business unit.
Job Responsibilities
• Manages staff that creates statistical business models/rules that are utilized to mitigate the fraudulent losses/risk associated with Point of Sale (POS) transactions of Merchants and Financial Institutions DDA account opening. Responsible for development, enhancement and implementation of overall risk management strategies for merchants. This includes the process of mitigating the exposure of the business for guarantee transactions. Monitors the metrics of the merchants to validate all components of the authorization system are working correctly. In addition, develops customized risk programs for merchants utilizing verification products. Responsible for leading and developing a department that supports sales cycles with large national merchants by presenting risk solutions, evaluating existing consumer programs and validating the pricing assumptions. This includes the development of appropriate marketing materials for these efforts. Additionally, provide on-going support to the service/relationship management interaction with existing merchants.

This position is responsible for managing and making decisions around high profile portfolios.
Job Requirements
• Demonstrated management experience, effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of credit/risk scoring concepts along with proven analytical abilities. Proven ability to work with all levels of management. 8+ years risk/profit management experience in a related environment, with 5 years of transaction risk experience.
