Job Summary"FICO is looking for a strong tax professional who relishes problem-solving as well thought leadership to join their team. You will have the opportunity to solve complex tax problems and collaborate with FICO’s business partners to find solutions that drive business growth," -Tax Director
Responsibilities:
• Analyze new complex tax legislation, including new tax treaties, and impact on FICO's tax filing positions as well as potential tax planning opportunities; prepare presentations for senior management
• Perform international tax technical research for team and prepare appropriate memorandums or other documentation for issues researched.
• Provide tax technical direction, advisory services and coordination in developing and implementing international tax strategies.
• Participate in the international tax planning initiatives to determine the impact of new initiatives on FICO Operating Strategies.
• Partner with Corporate and Finance stakeholders to develop plans that harmonize tax planning with long-term business plans.
• Manage selected international tax audits, develop appropriate positions and strategies, and (when necessary) engage in negotiations necessary to achieve resolution.
• Coordinate international tax strategies with outside Counsel, Tax and Accounting advisors. Support and coordinate with Director of Transfer Pricing for transfer pricing related issues including APA, transfer pricing reports, audits, documentation, and competent authority.
• Provide technical support and coordinate with Manager of Tax Compliance on US tax reporting for foreign subsidiaries, including review of Form 5471s and 1118, maintaining E&P and tax pools, analyzing US inclusion amounts and local tax compliance issues.
• Review, identify, research and analyze new issues related to compliance area and tax provision.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Tax return, tax provision, and tax audit experience with CPA/law firm or large corporation.
• Advanced knowledge of International Tax Law and International Tax and the ability to apply knowledge of rules, laws, legislations to benefit an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to research and identify tax risks associated with the global operations of the Company's foreign entities.
• A consultative approach with experience presenting tax planning advice to stakeholders in order to minimize overall tax exposures.
• Proven experience synthesizing and communicating findings effectively before a diverse group of internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success solving complex problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
