The Participant Engagement Marketing Manager will develop, execute and manage the strategies that deliver holistic individual financial wellness across all channels for Prudential Retirement’s Full-Service business. This individual will also serve as an internal thought leader who raises the bar on participant marketing activities by thinking strategically, creatively and innovatively to ensure each touchpoint in the customer journey is the best experience.
The successful candidate is passionate about understanding participant needs, motivations, and behavior. He/she will enjoy discovering insights that help us create a better experience and intimately understand the customer lifecycle and the preferred methods in which to interact with our participants. The successful candidate will have an analytical mindset, utilizing data, metrics and results to inform and execute strategies.
This individual will also be involved in developing and driving an integrated strategic marketing plan that supports business objectives around growth, retention and profitability. The individual will work closely with constituents across the business (Sales, Client teams, Product, Customer Experience, Research and Finance), corporate partners (Customer Office, Brand Marketing) and other division marketing leads to ensure alignment with the brand and foster partnership around cross business/division initiatives.
Major Responsibilities
The Participant Engagement Marketing Manager plays a key role within an organization structured to partner with the business to drive growth and engagement. This individual will be accountable for delivering holistic individual financial wellness through scalable, high impact solutions that create better customer relationships, build trust and differentiate Prudential Retirement in the market place.
• Partner with members of the Full-Service Marketing Strategy team to:
◦ Develop high impact and focused marketing strategies and execution plans that reinforce the brand and value proposition, and drive growth and engagement among participants.
◦ Fully integrate and prioritize marketing plans.
◦ Reduce cost and complexity through marketing efficiency, creating strategies that are repeatable and scalable.
◦ Think outside the box, identifying technologies and solutions to drive better outcomes.
◦ Place deep customer insight and the participant at the center of all marketing plans.
◦ Adhere to budgeted allocations, advising on making trade-offs and choices to drive high impact solutions using the best methods possible.
◦ Connect all marketing activities using an "end-to-end" to build a better experience.
◦ Maximize impact of external and internal communications
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong strategic marketing experience with a proven track record of driving individual engagement through market differentiation. Other relevant qualifications are:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience marketing to consumers (financial services, retirement, participant engagement and/or financial wellness experience a plus)
• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience working with external agencies, B2B and B2C marketing, digital marketing and new marketing trends
• Demonstrated ability to build out a strategic marketing plan with specific outcomes
• Strong influencing skills
• Proven analytical skills enabling the individual to collaborate with others to identify potential solutions and to think objectively
• Strong project management skills, with high attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—good marketing story teller
• Ability to quickly develop a deep knowledge of the company, industry, products and services
• Ability to work independently to achieve objectives, seeking manager's input as needed
