The Commercial Account Manager performs the essential functions of the position, which include aiding Commercial Sales Agent with new and renewal business, and aiding clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts.
• Completes applications in coordination with Commercial Agent; submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers; follows up to ensure timely
receipt of quotations and policies.
• Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items; verifies their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate
correspondence.
• Prepares proposals for Commercial agent for both new and renewal business.
• Processes incoming mail, email, and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Policy invoicing and pursuing prompt payments; request cancellations from the carrier according to agency standards.
• Assists clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitates prompt response from carrier staff and follows up on claims status, according to agency
procedures.
• Responsible for integrity of policy data on Agency Management System.
• Functional in navigating AMS360 system and Salesforce is a plus.
• Provides excellent customer service & teamwork.
Job Qualifications
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• Requires three years progressively responsible experience in dealing directly with commercial insurance coverage.
• Requires the possession and maintenance of a P&C License in the state of California.
• Professional Lines Insurance experience
• Basic knowledge in accounting principles including invoicing and cost allocation
• Ability to apply technical knowledge in insurance coverage, terminology and concepts.
• General knowledge of rating and marketing techniques.
• Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Working knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Office.
• Microsoft outlook, excel basics
• Ability to multi task, problem solve and organization skills are key
• Accustomed to working in a fast paced environment, high energy level
