Section 1: Position Summary
The Internal Communication Business Partner role will support the executive leadership team as a communications advisor and strategist. This position will partner across teams to shape our messaging and help our leaders communicate authentically and transparently. We’re looking for someone who can come up with innovative ideas to inform, motivate, and inspire our associates; The Internal Communication Business Partner will skillfully manage and assist leaders with their team communications; and get in the trenches to execute plans and make things happen. The role will be responsible for designing the strategy and execution of how Ascensus tells key stories internally, and develop the overall internal communications strategy and delivery.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Define and execute an internal communications plan at Ascensus that reinforces business strategy, cultural values, and company updates.
• Partner closely with leaders and key stakeholders to develop and manage the internal communication program for Ascensus.
• Advise executive leadership team on change management communications. Draft messaging that can be delivered across a wide variety of internal channels that will resonate with associates.
• Develop and implement internal messaging guidelines, approaches, and cadences that best enable cross-team communication and the effective cascading of critical information.
• Regularly attend department meetings throughout the business to listen and collect feedback and information to develop relevant and timely communications.
• Own the content for and support the execution of key employee events such as video blogs, townhalls, weekly written communications, all-hands, and executive meetings.
• Drive the communication efforts associated with executive-sponsored priority initiatives including annual goals and diversity and inclusion.
• Coach senior leadership team on strategies to improve one-to-many communications.
• Serve as Product Owner for the Ascensus intranet and drive a high quality experience on this communication platform partnering with the business units, HR and digital/IT partners.
• Work across teams to reveal and best tell the Ascensus story. Partner with Human Resources to integrate this messaging into our talent acquisition and retention efforts.
• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

You have:
• Experience developing communications programs that engage and motivate employees.
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with a proven record of partnering to develop and implement effective employee communication strategies.
• Ability to influence the development of appropriate and effective messaging with key stakeholders of all levels across the organization.
• A bachelor’s degree with a major in communications, journalism, marketing or related field preferred.
• Exceptional partnering skills. Requires a high degree of humility and willingness to receive and respond to feedback.
• Outstanding listening skills and ability to decipher and distill large amounts of information into a salient, succinct and compelling summary.
• Excellent organizational and project planning and execution skills.
• Strong executive presence.
