ABOUT THE JOB
The Credit Advisor, NOORE (Non-Owner Occupied Real Estate) will be responsible for supporting the underwriting and execution of non-owner occupied permanent loan transactions in the Community Bank between $500M to $5MM. This individual will consult/advise Community Bank Lenders on client loan requests for non-owner occupied permanent mortgages. The Credit Advisor will partner with relationship managers across our lines of business to deliver to our clients the best execution options either within the Bank’s Capital Markets capabilities or on Key’s Balance sheet.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Educate/train Community Bank Lenders NOORE underwriting and products
• Partner with Community Bank Lenders and act as NOORE product expert/ consultant
• Screen loan requests that don’t fit into the Community Bank NOORE program
• Help in resolving issues related to structure, exceptions, due diligence and documentation
• Work with Credit Portfolio Management on market research and provide alternative loan size/ loan structure to fit underwriting requirements for the NOORE program based on credit policy
• Work with Capital Markets representation to help direct opportunities generated in Community Bank to secondary market financing (CMBS, FNMA, Life Cos, FHLMC) off balance sheet
• Work with NOORE Credit Officers to formerly approve NOORE loans for Key’s portfolio
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree with a preferred focus on Business course work or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years prior experience with real estate lending
• Capable of analyzing and identifying strengths/ weaknesses in commercial real estate markets throughout the U.S.
• Familiarity with, and understanding of, private banking and commercial lending
• Strong customer focus. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to use: standard office equipment
