YOUR IMPACT
We are seeking a Vice President, as part of the IMD Global Risk Management team, with strong interpersonal skills to assist with the holistic ownership and negotiation of business terms in various trading and fund financing agreements division-wide.
OUR IMPACT
The IMD Global Risk Management group is responsible for the ownership, negotiation, and consistency of all business related terms in global trading agreements and credit facilities division-wide. The team, while ensuring adherence to critical risk management principles, seeks to provide a holistic viewpoint as it relates to our business terms with our counterparties and lenders with a focus on consistency, where feasible. The team partners internally with the IMD businesses, Regulatory Reform, Legal and Operations and also, utilizes established relationships with external counterparties and lenders including credit officers, relationship managers, investment banking and trading/sales personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
As a Vice President on the IMD Global Risk Management team, you will be responsible for the following:
Trading Agreement Risk Management
• Advise on risk-related terms across a wide-array of product-specific trading agreements including, but not limited to: cleared and bilateral swaps (ISDAs/CDEAs), futures & options (FCM), and cash equity (Prime Brokerage)
• Partner with business PM’s/Traders/COO’s and internal/external counsel to drive prioritization and maintain momentum on negotiations
• Collaborate with senior leaders to set target and fallback terms across agreements
• Analyze the risk involved in deviations from target terms and make recommendations accordingly
• Liaise with GSAM’s relationship manager to work with external counterparties on potential issues/items of escalation within negotiations
• Serve as the escalation point for issues/delays with counterparty onboarding
• Maintain relationships with external counterparty credit officers; responsible for ensuring responses to all credit officer inquiries
• Play an active role in various regulatory reform initiatives
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external counterparties
Fund Financing
• Partner with head of fund finance to source, structure, and execute a variety of bespoke lending arrangements division-wide
• Contribute to the ongoing strategic development of a front-to-back financing platform
• Interact on a daily basis and maintain relationships with external relationship managers, investment bankers and asset-structuring professionals at a variety of financial intuitions including banks, insurance companies, and specialty lending entities
• Collaborate with senior business leaders and provide creative solutions to meet unique business needs, most specifically with regards to the financing of private equity and hedge fund-of-funds, middle market loans and uncalled capital commitments
• Develop and preserve partnerships with internal and external legal counsel

Basic Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of derivatives
• Familiarity with terms of the various trading agreements (ISDA/CSA, Clearing, ACA, FXPB)
• Thorough understanding of risk management principles
• Asset management or hedge fund industry experience preferred
• Legal degree a plus, but not required
