Overview of the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to support the global business and facilitate growth by ensuring a risk based oversight model. This analyst role in the Denver Operations Control team is focused on specialized services. The role provides control and oversight as it relates to asset servicing including corporate actions, pricing, class actions, and reconciliations. The role is responsible for performing proxy voting functions as well as fair valuation recommendations and facilitation.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform daily proxy voting functions including review of proxy notifications, vote execution, reporting, and communication.
• Assist service provider in communication and escalation particularly around voluntary corporate actions
• Evaluate any Non Standard, complex requests in line with Operations Governance procedure, liaise internally and partner with service provider to solutionise and implement necessary operational enhancements.
• Develop valuation models based on market data and security/issue comparable and provide valuation recommendations, as needed
• Oversees position keeping and cash reconciliations and assist with SOD/EOD controls
• Provide oversight of service provider quality and performance by monitoring KPIs, metrics and regular SLA reviews and adherence to contractual policies, procedures and controls
• Create, document, maintain, challenge and recommend improvements to process flows
• Participate in business and technology enhancement initiatives
• Ensure appropriate operational controls in order to manage and mitigate risk
• Build and foster relationships with internal partners and external service provider
• Work closely with other business areas to ensure involvement and understanding of new business and regulatory developments

Technical Skills and Qualifications
• Knowledge of financial services, asset management, and investment operations
• Strong understanding of valuation including key financial concepts and how they contribute to the generation and analysis of valuation
• Good understanding of corporate action events with a preference for experience with corporate action platforms (e.g. XSP, eTRAN)
• Experience with relationship management preferred
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills: Presentation skills, written communication and ability to summarize client meetings and/or other client interactions to various levels in the organization.
• Strong project management skills: Ability to organize and track multiple threads of activity, ability to deliver on tight timelines, hands-on approach to resolving issues and detail orientation.
• Highly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow through skills.
• Ability to work independently, to gather information, makes decisions and drive results.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in middle office operations

Working Environment/Physical Activities
• Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours
• Typical office environment with PC, telephone, copier, fax machine, calculator, portfolio/fund accounting systems
• Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required
