The Talent Development Program Manager is part of the Talent & OD team that is accountable for crafting people processes to maximize the employee and leadership experience at HUB International. As a Talent Program Manager, you will have ownership for designing, delivering, and continuously improving specific talent initiatives (which may include onboarding, career development, employee engagement, leadership development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, succession, workforce planning), while ensuring they fit into HUB’s broader talent strategy.
Talent Development Program Managers may also be involved in internal consulting engagements with leadership teams as well as be part of organization-wide organizational development initiatives
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent program management:
• Research and design employee-centric people processes that span across the employee life cycle
• In partnership with our field HR organization – deliver, measure, and continuously improve people processes
• Provide talent development thought leadership for various talent segments (employees, leaders, senior executives)
• May work closely with our Director of Executive Talent in creating seamless people processes for our executive talent –from executive recruiting to onboarding, executive development, and succession management
• Bring an inclusion and diversity lens to all people practice development
• Design relevant and meaningful program measures that measure the impact of your talent initiatives
• Collaborate in creating and refining our talent strategy and roadmap
• Role model positive change – help others navigate transition and organizational change
Organizational development consulting:
• Participate or lead internal leadership consulting engagements at Hub – from contracting to designing to facilitating leadership sessions to working with the client on a sustainability plan
• Participate or lead strategic organizational development initiatives – may include initial assessment work, creating OD strategies, implementing OD strategies, and monitoring results
• Build the leadership effectiveness and change capability of our internal clients
Requirements:
• Four-year college degree. Graduate degree in HR, organizational development, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of progressive HR experience
• Demonstrated experience designing and owning talent processes a plus
• Experience as an HR Business Partner or on an organizational development team a plus
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership while maintaining excellent customer service
• Blend of strategic thinking and practical execution
• Exposure to delivering components of Diversity & Inclusion efforts
• Understands the dynamics of a matrix organization
• Good organizational savvy, resilient
• Ability to simultaneously and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
• Exemplary project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group and manage ambiguous situations
• Experience with Workday preferred
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite
• Strong negotiation and influence skills
• Passion for coaching and developing talent
