What is this opportunity?
As the Learning & Development Leader for US Capital Markets (CM), you are responsible for executing on the learning strategy that impacts the 3,500 front- and back-office Capital Markets colleagues based in the US. You act as the Senior Relationship Manager to the business: A knowledgeable learning professional with the capability to quickly take control of assigned responsibilities and establish yourself as a credible strategic business partner. A member of the global CM learning team, you provide counsel to business leaders on solutions that support the business’s strategic objectives. You’ll be the central point of contact and portfolio manager for all learning related initiatives, responsible for understanding analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of programs.
What will you do?
• Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and collaborate with members across the organization to develop effective strategies and propose learning solutions that are aligned to business requirements.
• Manage end-to-end solutions for multiple complex learning projects.
• Lead needs analysis and requirements gathering sessions.
• Identify measures of success through project management of costs, work efforts, timelines, forecasting, and deliverables as well as report expected business impact and return on investment (ROI).
• Leverage and advocate innovative technology and best-in-class design and development methodologies to provide effective learning solutions in a variety of delivery channels.
• Identify opportunities through research, and leverage existing learning assets, to repurpose content as appropriate for cost and time savings.
• Act as a trusted learning advisor for our business partners and as subject-matter expert (SME) on current and future RBC learning solutions, programs, resources, tools, and activities -- resulting in a superior internal stakeholder and employee experience.
• Establish routines with your assigned line of business focused on portfolio management and reporting.
• Develop and manage vendor partner relationships.
What will you need to succeed?
Must-have:
• 5+ years’ proven and progressive experience in designing, building and delivering innovative instructor-led and technology-based solutions with a focus on mobile platforms, social learning and usability.
• Proven skills and capabilities in design and development at the curriculum, course and module level in multiple channels of learning design (for example: classroom, virtual classroom, e-learning, mobile, social, gamification, video).
• Strong project management skills and experience; critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional relationship building and management skills; bias to collaboration in working with with project teams comprised of internal and external learning colleagues, subject matter experts and business leaders.
• Strong impact and influence skills to interpret business needs and recommend effective solutions.
• Broad understanding of the impact of the business environment, external market, and technological trends.
Nice to have:
• University degree or diploma.
• Related experience working within the financial sector.
• Experience working with enterprise functions.
• Deep understanding of the business strategies of the businesses they support
