This position is on the Access Management team in the Technology and Risk Organization. Technology & Information Risk (TIR) organization within Morgan Stanley is responsible to allow the Firm to manage its technology and data related risks through implementing proactive, comprehensive, and consistent practices across the Firm to protect franchise while capturing business opportunities. Access management (AM) team which falls under TIR organization, provides solutions that span all aspects of entitlement management, including change management during employee lifecycle events, review, provisioning, de-provisioning, auditing, reporting, adoption of applications using both in-house custom products and vendor products.
Job Description
The candidate will work with the Business Analysis team in the Access Management department which is responsible for entitlement data and lifecycle management for the firm. The candidate will be involved in requirement gathering for changes in processes and tooling for managing business entitlements.
Technical Business Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
• The Entitlements BA will be responsible for developing business requirements for Business Entitlement Projects.
• The primary focus will be on data entitlements (e.g. clients, accounts, and companies) which are used in fine grain entitlements.
• Responsible for capturing and managing business rules for entitlements data.
• Create detailed documentation covering use cases and business requirements.
• Ability to perform detailed analysis on large sets of complex data and provide logical representation of the data in the form of graphs and Pivot tables.
• Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to identify and define high level and detailed business/functional requirements.
• Facilitate discussions with all levels and functional areas of the organization.
• Provide guidance to development teams regarding functional requirements.
• Partner with testing resources to identify testing requirements.
• Ensure and validate that delivered functionality meets the business objectives.
• Co-ordinate user acceptance testing efforts.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for business units as well as senior management within the Access Management organization.
• Create and maintain project documentation.
• Partner with key stakeholders to translate project work into business as usual processes.
Qualifications
Skills
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• 5+ years data analysis and business analysis experience.
• Manages multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously and in an organized and results-oriented manner.
• Possesses a strong analytical, quantitative and objective outlook.
• Excellent people skills are also necessary since this position interacts with all levels of resources across the organization.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with data projects.
• Great knowledge of Microsoft suite, especially advanced features in Excel.
• Well versed in writing technical requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired:
• Entitlement data domain knowledge a big plus.
• Knowledge of the banking/financial services industry is a plus
• Knowledge of Information Security/Identity and Access Management is a plus
• Data Architecture/Modeling
