Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst - Investor Relations is a role that focuses on expanding company, industry and market knowledge. Develops competitive intelligence and analytics. Supports relationships with rating agencies, investors and analysts through effective presentation materials and communication. Provides financial support for quarterly earnings process and preparation for meetings with the investment community.
Responsibilities
• Monitor competitive intelligence and analytics, including peer earnings releases, financial disclosures, earnings calls, investor presentations and press releases. Benchmark Ameriprise's performance relative to peers and disseminates relevant information to management.
• Analyze information from monthly/quarterly results and messaging meetings with LFO groups, treasury and AM investment team to build knowledge of earnings process and of AMP financial results. Prepare presentations and quarterly earnings materials, including the development of visual and written materials.
• Aggregate sell-side analyst models on a monthly basis and conduct analysis on trends in earnings estimates. Identify key trends in earnings estimates and how they vary from actual and projected financial results. Present analysis to ensure disclosures are accurate and complete, and provide insight to craft responses to investor questions.
• Responsible for interacting with rating agencies including help with the development of annual and quarterly presentations. Support the timely collection of data and completion of rating agency surveys. Monitor ratings criteria changes and communicate implications.
• Ongoing management of the Investor Relations website and other vendor relationships.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a financial/quantitative field or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial role.
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to complete financial modeling tasks and financial analysis, with ability to verbally present analysis and conclusions to management.
• Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills.
• Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external constituents.
