Description
The Enterprise Services and Systems (ESS) Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for leading all program and project management aspects of critical initiatives across Prudential’s Finance and Actuarial organizations, as well as certain enterprise-wide initiatives. We are seeking a Project Management Associate to support all aspects of project management including, but not limited to, the development and maintenance of project tools (e.g., project plans), tracking of issues through resolution, development of project communications, and project administration (e.g., meeting logistics and documentation).
Key responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of a more senior project manager, you will manage small projects and/or phases of a larger project, specifically:
• Collaborate with more senior project manager(s) to create project documentation including, but not limited to, project plans, issue lists, risk registers, meeting documentations and status reports; maintain all project documentation on the project’s SharePoint site.
• Assist with the drafting of other project-related documents, as needed (e.g., business requirements, test scripts, business cases, process flows, standard operating procedures, etc.).
• Communicate clearly (written and verbal) with the project team and senior management; assist with the development of effective presentations and updates for management.
• Identify, communicate and escalate project issues and risks and assist with the change management process.
• Facilitate project meetings including agenda creation, logistics, meeting management and meeting documentation.
• Manage and meet project deadlines, while ensuring all work products meet or exceed the expectations of the customer organizations.
• Customize project management approach to meet the unique needs and requirements of customer organizations.
Qualifications
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communications skills; this includes: collaborative capabilities; critical thinking, and creative solutioning skills; and excellent written and verbal communications, appropriately tailored to the audience.
• Aptitude for learning in a fast-paced environment including understanding the holistic and tactical details of the project, as well as the supporting business processes.
• Capable of taking an ownership mentality for a project’s success, while adapting and managing to ambiguity and change; ability to prioritize and manage deliverables within defined timelines and under limited oversight.
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience required.
Other Comments:
• Overtime required, as needed.
• While this position is based in Newark, some travel may be required at times.
