Under the direction of the Performance Coach, theManager is the primary point of contact for clients. They will oversee client needs ranging from tax compliance, accounting services, financial statement reporting and business consulting. The role includes identifying client’s needs and working with staff to meet those needs.
Responsibilities
• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner.
• Participate in and provide leadership for firm initiatives and projects.
• Plan and schedule engagement fieldwork with clients and firm resources.
• Lead and manage tax and financial engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards, within budget and deadline expectations.
• Perform detailed reviews of workpapers completed by other associates.
• Communicate proactively with clients and engagement partners regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other significant matters in a timely manner.
• Review financial statements and footnotes, management reports, executive reports, and other requested deliverables.
• Provide training, direction, and supervision to staff and senior accountants.
• Develop and attain a comprehensive understanding of services provided by the firm.
Qualifications
• Requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• CPA certification required in the respective state in which they are practicing
• Requires a valid driver’s license
• Requires at least five years of job related experience
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
• Ability to balance many projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
• Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions
• Ability to become technically competent with industry-specific tax and accounting matters
• Requires accurate and effective writing and verbal communication to convey information to firm associates and client personnel, including boiling technical matters and jargon into plain English
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook; Quickbooks proficiency preferred.
• The ability to become proficient in Caseware, depreciation processing software, tax software (ProSystems), and IDEA (data extraction software)
