Description
The Commercial Client Specialist will partner with the Relationship Team and KYC/AML (‘know your client/anti-money laundering”) Operations to ensure all client KYC records are compliant with regulatory standards, and will ensure high quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements at inception and renewal of client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage client and partner expectations and understanding in a consultative way.
• Exhibit ownership of KYC/AML experience and client experience.
• Ensure KYC/AML deliverables are met and hold internal partners accountable.
• Demonstrate ongoing understanding of KYC/AML processes and work through delays and/or inefficiencies.
• Manage operational risk effectively through diligent awareness of risks in our processes.
• Escalate appropriate risk items and drive issues to closure.
• Manage client risk effectively by supporting the Relationship Manager in client selection process.
• Independently manage renewal cycle of Due Diligence Forms with Relationship Management Partnership.
• Accountable for timely portfolio management while maintaining quality expectations.
• Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
Competencies Required
• Ability to represent the bank on joint calls with the client or independently in order to explain KYC/AML and other information needs.
• Ability to properly identify AML risks and apply the KYC/AML policy concepts.
• Working knowledge of risk factors that may impact specific products and industries.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and leverage internal resources.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
• 3 years of Commercial Banking experience with exposure to KYC and AML.
Formal Education & Certification
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services.
Work Status
• Full-time.
Supervisory Responsibility
• None.
Travel
• Up to 25% travel expected.
Working Conditions
• Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, folders, etc.
