We are seeking a Vice President to join the Energy Infrastructure Fund (EIF). The infrastructure team has managed approximately $7.6 billion on behalf of Oaktree’s managed funds and co-investors, with investments in various forms of infrastructure including but not limited to energy, environmental services, power generation and transportation. This individual will work with the EIF team that exclusively focuses on energy and power, currently ~$3 billion in assets.

Responsibilities
As a member of a small investment team, responsibilities will include the following:
• Involvement with the investment process from inception to completion across the energy and power industry
• Collecting industry research, monitoring economic trends, developing forecasts and conducting analysis
• Reviewing complicated financial models, developing investment thesis and supporting analysis
• Performing business, accounting and legal due diligence
• Analyzing credit agreements, indentures and certificates of designation
• Negotiating and structuring term sheets and financing commitments, negotiating management agreements and executing offerings
• Monitoring and reporting on portfolio companies’ performance
• Managing relationships with accounting and tax professionals, attorneys, consultants, advisers and bankers;
• Interacting with company management teams, boards of directors and outside advisors to help drive operational improvements at portfolio companies
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years investment experience with a top-tier private equity firm and/or investment bank. 1-2 years experience at a private equity firm is preferred
• Some knowledge or experience in Energy Infrastructure or closely-related industry strongly preferred
• Demonstrated competency in all aspects of investment opportunity execution including: analysis, due diligence, company valuations, preparing investment memorandums; exposure to negotiations, structuring, funding and closing deals strongly preferred
• Exceptional skills in analyzing investment opportunities, market information and financial statements.
• Proven ability to understand complex deal structures

Education
Bachelor’s degree with honors from a top university or college.
