Description
Reporting to The Marsh & McLennan Agency’s Managing Consultant of our Retirement Plan Services practice you will support a team of Consultants in all aspects of servicing existing or prospective clients. In addition, you will assist The Marsh & McLennan Agency’s sales team in their efforts to secure new retirement business. You will gain a strong foundation of all aspects of the retirement business equipping you to grow within the practice and the company.
The Associate Consultant job responsibilities include:
• Coordinate, develop and execute project plans catered individually to each client.
• Perform client prospect/sales activities including, but not limited to; prepare client assessment materials, researching, benchmarking, compiling and summarizing information.
• Respond efficiently to requests and/or client service issues via phone & email communications.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports, while monitoring automated reporting functions.
• Interact effectively with service providers and other external contacts.
• Coordinate meetings, attending to all details involved in executing the meeting/event.
• Help ensure our office remains compliant with our broker/dealer.
• Conduct employee education meetings.
• Become well-versed in all of The Marsh & McLennan Agency’s practices in order to articulate our services and value proposition to prospective clients.
Qualifications
• Strength in analyzing and synthesizing data.
• Perform client prospect/sales activities including, but not limited to; prepare client assessment & proposal materials, researching, benchmarking, compiling and summarizing information.
• Coordinate, develop and execute project plans catered individually to each client
• Interact effectively with service providers and other external contacts.
• Supports Consultants in research and client meeting prep
• Learning to work in client situations with exposure to clients as team member
• Can perform most Associate tasks independently but still requires MC/Consultant direction
• Ability to work autonomously while being relied upon as a key team member
• Proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate & address requests
• Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years in Retirement industry, ideally licensed with 6,63, 65 & variable life
• Excellent written, oral communication and organization skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint) with strength in analyzing and synthesizing data.
• Morningstar Principia experience a plus.
