Job Description Summary
Responsible for enhancing the service experience for our customers, key distributor firms and financial advisors. Partners with the business development team, PMO, wholesaling staff, our key distributors, and cross-functionally within Transamerica to provide continuous improvements for pre- and post-sale services. Addresses distributor operational needs to enhance sales opportunities. Leads a team responsible for timely service issue resolution and enhancing the financial advisor and customer experience. Collaborates with the Fund Operations team, key service providers and vendors to recognize trends, resolve systemic issues, and drive procedure improvements.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate overall performance of team, as well an individual members. Coach and counsel team members individually and together toward improved performance. Complete performance appraisals.
• Enhance relationships with key service providers and vendors, customers, financial advisors, wholesaling staff, and distributor contacts. Provide proactive and regular communication of changes to policies and procedures, project initiatives and performance metrics.
• Drive operational processing improvements based on analysis of business trends from the team and feedback from sales and distributors. Understand the operational needs of key distributors and represent their views in project prioritization discussions.
• Work with Fund Operations team to fully resolve both pre-sale and post-sale escalated service issues efficiently; perform root cause analysis, communicate resolution on issues and take actions toward service recovery.
• Provide oversight of service providers and vendors, and appropriate feedback based on key metrics and service level results.
• Evaluate various forms of media and communications, including but not limited to service forms, statements and website experience for customers and financial advisors, and making appropriate recommendations/updates.
• Support asset allocation and institutional trading partners by providing effective tools and templates to execute Transamerica fund family trades and problem resolution.
• Serve as a member of the steering committee to develop and maintain financial advisor and distributor experience surveys/feedback. Lead Operations, key service providers and vendors, and other service organization changes based on feedback received.
• Provide guidance to key service providers, vendors and other service organization employees regarding successful operational relationship management, problem resolution, and service excellence.
• Participate in the implementation of project initiatives.
• Develop network of contacts with key service providers, vendors, TCI, and asset allocation and institutional trading partners.
• Act as a back-up to manager, Fund Operations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or equivalent industry experience.
• Five years of mutual fund or financial services industry experience.
• Strong customer service an relationship building skills to establish and influence business relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Broad understanding of the mutual funds, annuities, broker-dealer operations, and experience serving distributing intermediaries.
• Previous supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Transamerica and TST mutual funds and life/annuity products.
• Familiarity with service provider products.
