Purpose of Job
We are currently seeking talented Reporting Analyst I for our San Antonio, TX facility.
Partners with the business to define data/analytic needs and applies technical and business knowledge to recommend solutions that solve business problems and reporting needs. May prepare operational materials for senior management in support of major programs and functions. Manages/performs multiple work assignments and problem resolution across systems, processes or channels. As a key contributor, critical to the achievement of team/organization goals. Proactively maintains relationship with customer to ensure reporting is value-add and adapted for changing business needs.
Job Requirements
• Facilitates COSA business projects of complex size and visibility ensuring stakeholders champion decision making data needs.
• Develops and maintains business solutions, which may include data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.
• Leverages an understanding of multiple data structures and sources to perform complex data manipulation using advanced data extraction and analytical tools and techniques.
• Recognizes the connection between the business operations and analytics to influence business strategies and solutions.
• Makes recommendations to management.
• Supports development of innovative approaches to address business problems and solutions.
• Ensures that operational reports are complete and provide accurate data to enable business functions to carry on day to day operations.
• Performs all other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 4 or more years experience in an analytical or technical support function or general data analysis/extraction experience, and descriptive statistics. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Intermediate knowledge of data reporting/analysis tools and techniques; requirements gathering; Intermediate troubleshooting skills.

Preferred
• Proficient ability to generate operational reports and dashboards, large data sets, and ad-hoc reports
• Proficient knowledge of data reporting/analysis tools and techniques (such as Business Objects and Tableau); database design and table structures; data warehouse structures and data marts, as well as big data reporting and analytic platforms
• Proficient in SQL
• Demonstrated ability to identify trends/patterns and perform root cause analysis on data
• Experience providing quantitative/qualitative analysis
• Familiarity of the pros/cons of various reporting tools (Business Objects, Tableau, etc) as well as their limitations
• Experience with star-schema reporting landscapes and structures
• Demonstrated history of developing visual representations of data in an easily-digestible format using various visualization tools
• Proven leadership skills; strong written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; experience briefing all levels of management
