Position Description

The Hedge Fund Investor Services Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the accurate & timely completion of transfer agency and reporting services to various hedge fund products as administrator. This individual must also strictly adhere to and enforce established departmental policies and procedures required to service alternative funds.
The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:
Oversee the process of monitoring daily escrow account activity and the completion of daily reconciliation of money movement to investor documentation
Oversee the preparation of wire instructions for money movement for fund subscriptions and redemptions
Monitor the receipt and processing of subscription documents for new investors and maintenance of investor files
Ensure AML procedures are followed for all investor transactions
Oversee the processing, documentation and reporting of investor subscription, redemption & transfer requests by applying appropriate terms as set forth in the fund legal documents
Ensure the maintenance of monthly capital activity tracking report “dealing board” and distribution of the report to client on a periodic basis
Oversee the investor setup and demographic data entry & maintenance into the investor accounting system
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting to clients, investors and internal parties
Maintain strong and professional working relationships with all internal/external parties including external clients, external audit firms, internal operations management team, internal audit, platform team, relationship managers, product team and technology development team
Coordinate & support offshore investor servicing for jointly serviced clients with Dublin office when necessary
Strictly adhere to and enforce established departmental procedures and controls and maintain a zero tolerance for error
Perform administrative functions related to funds under administration
Problem and error resolution on a timely basis (with documentation)
Supervise the investor services staff on a daily basis and ensure client deliverable coverage
Ensure staffing requirements are met by assessing resource requirements, interviewing candidates and hiring employees
Responsible for employee training, periodic performance appraisals and career pathing
Assist in the coordination of new client start ups and conversions to the Investor Services platform
Assist with the documentation and testing of new system reports
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
BS/BA degree in business, finance or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience
2 years experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience a plus
Knowledge and expertise of investor services a plus
Willingness to learn new systems, concepts and broaden knowledge in the industry
Detail-oriented
Team player
Flexible
Individual who takes initiative & ownership of assigned responsibilities
Strong aptitude for numbers
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of Excel for Windows
Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
