Overview
SMBC's Global Transaction Banking Department is seeking a Cash Management Sales Specialist to support the Sales Manager by preparing agreements, creating various sales reports, presentation materials, structural diagrams and other support related tasks.
Responsibilities
• Work with the Sales Manager to identify client needs in order to offer appropriate solutions and cash management service products.
• Prepare presentation materials and proposals, create fee schedules, RFP's, and cost analysis projects.
• Work closely with the Product Team to gather information and updates regarding enhancements and pricing for the Sales Manager.
• Prepare CMS agreements and other related paperwork for clients. Follow up with clients to ensure we obtain completed documents in a timely manner to meet service implementation deadlines.
• Update reports by tracking and recording the progress on pending items and sales results.
• Present SMBC CMS products by performing E-Moneyger demonstrations for clients.
• Work with the Product Team for implementation processes on new products and complex services.
• Keep abreast of any changes or enhancements of products and communicate any client enhancement or product needs to the Sales Manager and Product Team.
• Adhere to internal bank procedures, policies, and strategies as laid out by GTBD and sales management as well as bank regulatory and compliance matters.
Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of cash management services and products i.e., E-Moneyger, Remote Deposit, ACH Systems and general banking services and operations.
• Working knowledge of corporate sales in the cash management industry preferred.
• Cash Management or Treasury services experience/knowledge preferred.
• Ability to build an understanding of internal bank policies and procedures and remain in compliance with bank regulations.
• Build constructive and effective relationships with peers and senior management.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness and work with others using diplomacy, respect, and tact.
• Organize thoughts and clearly articulate points, both orally and in writing, to management or other internal departments.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
• Work efficiently and effectively to prioritize and execute tasks.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
• Proficient in MS office and web based applications.
• Experience in creating presentation materials and presenting to various audiences.
• BS/BA required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to speak, read, write in English and Japanese is REQUIRED.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Traveling may be required.
