Job Description:
At Regions the Mortgage Specialist performs a variety of clerical duties to support the Mortgage department.
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime under the non-exempt FLSA classification for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
• Single Point of Contact (SPOC) taking in bound calls and return calls from borrowers, attorneys, and 3rd parties on the status of their loan
• Ensure all investor, insurer and company regulations are met on bankrupt accounts and pick case load to a minimum of 300 loans.
• Refer delinquent bankruptcy accounts to designated attorneys for POC, MFR, or Objection filings within Department timelines.
• Single Point of Contact (SPOC) taking in bound calls and return calls from borrowers, attorneys, and 3rd parties on the status of their loan
• Responsible for handling loss mitigation request, solicitations, and follow up status with Bankruptcy Courts on pending modification approvals
• Monitor payment status on all accounts to ensure payments are made in accordance with bankruptcy plan, researching payment discrepancies and determining appropriate resolution
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
3 years of clerical or administrative experience
