Director, Communications
As a Director of Communications as part of the Corporate Communications team, you will define and execute the internal communications strategy in support of the Card Services division and associated corporate function leadership to drive performance in a way that is aligned with the company’s strategic goals, while reinforcing the company’s vision, values, employer brand, engagement and workplace culture. You will also drive the executive internal visibility strategy for the division president to foster connections and elevate the leadership voice both within the division and across the enterprise.
Communication message, style and distribution channels will vary according to the situation and related communication goal, which may include educating and informing associates about business strategy, employing change management techniques in support of strategic initiatives, driving associate engagement and achieving executive visibility. All work will be done in collaboration with key functional stakeholders from the Card Services Senior Leadership Team, Global Brand, Communications Council, Human Resources and other business unit and corporate function partners to achieve shared goals.
Drive creation and dissemination of site-based communications for our main office locations (Parsippany, NJ; Portland, OR; Lake Mary, FL), including in-person associate meetings and support of the Senior Leadership Team.
Strategic Alignment and Accountability:
• Align with Card Services and Global Brand executive leaders to define business unit and corporate function internal communication strategy and support execution to drive associate education, change management and culture building efforts
• Establish strategy for routine communication touchpoints (virtual and in-person town hall meetings, conference calls, webinars, focus groups, emails, intranet communications, associate events, newsletters and related internal communications) and execute on communications strategy
• Ensure message consistency and drive dissemination and cascade of enterprise messaging across business unit
• Develop effective communications to drive alignment and understanding of execution of the Fiserv aspiration, purpose, values and strategic framework
• Foster connection to the Fiserv brand and solutions for internal audiences
• Engage associates and drive positive behavior in support of employer brand
• Serve as strategic partner to internal stakeholders on culture communications
Drive Strategic Execution:
• Establish and nurture relationships with business unit and corporate function leaders
• Facilitate the development and execution of multi-medium internal communication strategy
• Leverage external messaging in collaboration with corporate communications team members for brand positioning internally
• Collaborate with business partners to innovate, import, export and share creative ideas to achieve outcomes
• Develop, implement and manage global internal communication programs to inform, engage, align and motivate associates to achieve business unit and enterprise goals
• Support execution of collaborative intranet strategy to facilitate business unit/corporate function communication, collaboration and drive engagement
Required Qualifications:
• Exceptional Writing and Editing Skills

◦ Executive presence and ability to effectively communicate with company executives
◦ Strong verbal and presentation skills, including excellent PowerPoint skills

• Global perspective and awareness of the cultural context of communication in a global organization
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on planning, setting priorities, and managing process through completion including measuring effectiveness of programs
• Education and Prior Experience
◦ BA/BS in a communications field
◦ Proficient in AP style
◦ Minimum of ten years of experience in global internal/culture communications, including executive communication
◦ Experience working in a matrixed and corporate organization preferred
• Minimal travel required up to 25%
