Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Lead - Director
Job Description:
The Strategic Sourcing Lead role will be responsible for building strategic sourcing capabilities within the firm and conducting eSourcing activities to drive significant savings and value year over year. This position reports to the Head of the Procurement & Payables team within the Finance organization. Using a centrally-led model, the successful candidate will need to partner closely with various department heads, CFOs, and COOs to identify savings opportunities and execute eSourcing (eRFP and eAuction) events. The position will require very savvy relationship building and management skills, and heavy change management and program management talents to institutionalize the program.
• Lead eSourcing events to drive savings and other value-add opportunities. Includes partnering with businesses to identify requirements, create RFPs/auctions, and support vendor questions during the bidding process
• Assist with negotiating price, terms and conditions, and incentives on deals being managed
• Partner with business owners and legal to ensure contract completion and compliance with Blackstone processes
• Establish and execute aggressive eSourcing impact targets
• Expand eSourcing program globally to ensure significant contract spend is being competitively bid
• Create and distribute dashboards of sourcing activities, associated savings, and vendor spend analytics. Includes loading and enriching spend data through spend analytics tool
• Build contract repository to identify expiring contracts and future sourcing opportunities
• Support the vendor risk management function in building a well-defined process and support ongoing identification of new vendors
Qualifications:
• 7-12 years of experience executing eSourcing initiatives primarily in the non-technology space (e.g. professional services, legal, corporate services/facilities, travel, HR)
• Deep understanding of all facets of eSourcing value, process and tools
• Knowledge of Ariba eSourcing and Ariba Spend Analytics is a plus
• Experience executing classic strategic sourcing processes
• Experience negotiating prices, complex terms and conditions and incentives for major/global agreements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others at all levels and act as an effective change agent
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, strong listening skills, ability to accept constructive feedback, ability to create strong relationships with stakeholders
• Strong communication skills – written, verbal and presentation skills
• Results-oriented with strong commercial acumen, and demonstrated ability to create/capture savings from total cost
• Bachelor’s degree with preference for focus in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Finance
