Digital Finance Description
Digital Finance, a business unit within CCBD, is comprised of the firm’s digitally-led consumer businesses, which include the Marcus deposits and lending businesses, as well as the personal financial management app, Clarity Money. Digital Finance combines the strength and heritage of a 148-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Through the use of machine learning and intuitive design, we provide customers with powerful tools that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity to help them make smarter decisions about their money.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Your Impact
Are you detail oriented and interested in data flows and architecture diagrams? We are looking for an intuitive professional with analytical skills to lead the Data Management and Governance team. You will have the opportunity to shape technology solutions and policies and ensure customer and third party data is properly safeguarded, tracked and permissioned.
As Data Management and Governance Lead, you will help answer challenging questions about how to build systems and processes that are robust and operationally efficient to track every data attribute across all Marcus systems. You will work with product managers, engineers and business owners to create best-in-class technology and solutions for existing products and help launch new products on the roadmap.
Responsibilities
• Plan, design and conduct data discovery sessions with product, engineering and business team members to scope the existing and planned data infrastructure
• Develop reporting infrastructure and resources to track existing and new data attributes in line with Legal, Compliance and business requirements
• Address technology gaps and build tools to aid data reporting and requirements and track/add new attributes and new authorized users
• Advocate for protecting consumer data from unnecessary access
• Collaborate with data owners, business leaders, Compliance and Legal to create and maintain data governance documentation that includes policies, training materials, data quality reporting, etc.
• Ensure that data-related business requirements, including data controls, data quality and protection of sensitive data, are clearly defined, communicated, understood and considered part of operational prioritization
• Collaborate with Tech Risk to develop and enforce methods and validation mechanisms to ensure data is properly accessed
• Build processes to ensure data quality standards as well as legal, regulatory and security requirements are consistently met
• Procure enterprise-grade tools that enable CCBD and partners to use data as defined in a global data catalog
• Collaborate on qualitative and quantitative data architecture projects in the Marcus Lending and US Deposits businesses
• Understand from the ground up how all of the systems interact and what data is ingested, created and transmitted at all times
Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience as a core team member, managing and delivering cross functional technology products
• Intuitive, collaborative and analytical, with an understanding of data architecture, data flows, mapping and data access controls
• Ability to turn business requirements into a cross-functional project plan for technology and operations delivery
• Effective communicator with a record of delivering projects on time
• Experience as a project or product manager a plus
• Experience working with dynamic technology teams and complex systems a plus
Experience working in fields with business critical legal and compliance requirements, like healthcare and finance, a plus
