Role Value Proposition:
As part of the overall Governance and Enabling Operations, this position is part of the Program Solutions and Delivery User Acceptance Testing Team. The organization’s focus is on delivering on the Group Benefits project portfolio. As a member of the UAT team, this role will be accountable for ensuring the quality of the solutions delivered, meet and/or exceed the business’s expectations. This position is responsible for supporting the User Acceptance Testing effort as well as acts as a liaison between the business and IT personnel to support system enhancements and design activities until deployed to production and post-implementation testing has been completed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Under minimal supervision oversee small to midsize projects that span across multiple areas, applications and functions and/or lines of business.
• Develop and revise test plans, specifications, test cases and schedules, and prepares test scripts. Identify, track, and help resolve defects. Record test results on time and with quality.
• Ensure traceability from requirements, functional requirements, and change requests to UAT test scenarios.
• Manage testing timelines and progress independently.
• Communicate status, defects, and progress clearly and consistently. Create or update reports with status as needed.
• Plan, facilitate, or assist with meetings as needed to accomplish individual, team and/or project goals.
• Identify risk and issues, collaborate and partner with others, and proactively plan to mitigate.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
• 3+ years related work experience.
• Working knowledge of supported business functions, workflow, systems and transactions.
• Ability to multi-task and use time management to meet tight deadlines and maximize results.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills and have the ability to work as a partner with various individuals/teams as needed.
• Possess the ability to work in a matrix (cross departmental) work environment with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Ability to interact with databases.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLSC), testing process and methodologies, E2E, Waterfall, Agile, V model, Risk Based testing, and when to leverage each.
• Knowledge of Quality Center.
• Possesses strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook).
• Strong project Management skills.
• Group benefits product knowledge is desired.
